A Look at the Construction Economy…Right Now

At United Architectural Metals we are always looking inside and out.  On the inside we strive every day to manufacture the best products, meet and exceed expectations, and DMI-August-2016be a valued assist to architects and designers. On the outside we keep our eyes on the trends and also on the economy.  The construction economy has had it’s bouts with the negative trends, but lately things have been surely moving in the positive direction.   The latest Dodge Momentum Index is out and the news was on the plus side again.  With a score of 134, the index has now hit positive for 5 straight months.  While we are still not back to those heady days of pre-recession time- we are surely headed in the right direction!  For more on this story- please click here.

 


CMU Scott Hall Job Featured in Breaking Ground

United Architectural Metals (UAM) was honored to supply our unitized curtain wall on one of the newest buildings on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.Breaking Ground Cover

The project was the cover story on a recent edition of Breaking Ground magazine and is quickly becoming one of the most photographed structures in the city.  The write up on this project can be found starting on page 34 and it’s a story of many challenges all overcome in the end!  UAM was proud to be involved!
